By the Bottle
All bottles are at least certified organic, with most being certified sustainable and biodynamic. This list focuses on small producers that put a lot of love and joy into their wines.
2021 AT Roca Classic Penedes Reserva
$58Catalunya, Spain. 50% Macabeu, 30% Xarel-lo, 20% Parellada. Zero dosage, sustainable cava that differentiates itself from all other cavas due to the winemaker’s extensive experience working for Champagne producers. Ages on the lees for minimum of 20 months before bottling. Fruit is round, delicate, and mouth-watering. Perfect for celebrating any occasion.
2021 Clos Hirissou Pet Nat Rosé
$50Languedoc-Roussillon, France. 95% Mauzac, 5% Petite Sirah. Green apple aromas from Mauzac, white pepper from the Sirah. Delicate bubbles, wild berries, peach blossom, super fresh on the palate. Super rare to have Petite Sirah grown in France which makes this special. I’ve returned to this bottle time & time again.
2022 Ezio Poggio Lunatico Frizzante Bianco
$58Piedmont, Italy. 100% Timorasso. We love a bottle that follows the lunar cycles. These tight, light, zippy bubbles go through a second fermentation in the bottle when it’s a full moon. Peach, brioche, green apple and lemon on the palate, finishing super clean, tender & soft. Extremely pleasant.
2023 Monte Rio Cellars "Skull" Sparkling
$50Sebastopol, CA. 25% Pinot Gris, 25% Sauvignon Blanc, 25% Verdehlo, 25% Vermentino. Each variety is fermented separately and then combined after a mix of stainless steel and neutral oak barrel aging, giving it depth, but keeping it approachable. Patrick’s goal of making a wine that is fresh with a higher, balanced acidity is achieved here. Staff fave.
2022 Division Polka Dots Gamay Pet Nat
$80Columbia Valley, WA. 100% Gamay Noir. We’re obsessed with this bottle and this producer in general! Juicy, juicy, strawberry on the palate. High calcium in the soil makes it super zippy. Perfect porch pink party wine. 🙂
2022 Martha Stoumen "Post Flirtation" White
$60Contra Costa County, CA. 30% Marsanne, 30% Rousanne, 30% Vermentino, 10% Muscat Alexandria. While I normally give my own notes, Martha’s were so spot on that I’ll add hers here: “This refreshing blend tastes like straight up lemonade served with a hint of citrahops. Lively aromas of ocean air mingle with a touch of lemon skin oil for a libation that wants to meet you where you’re at.”
2022 Stirm "Calcite" White
$52Cienega Valley, CA. 44% Riesling, 56% Chardonnay. One of the best wines I’ve tasted this year. Fresh, electric notes of orchard fruit and honey from the riesling, perfect pillowy roundness from the Chardonnay. Calcite, an ancient limestone rock, is extremely rare in California, providing a unique minerality.
2021 De Fermo Concrete Vino Bianco
$62Abruzzo, Italy. 60% Pecorino, 30% Chardonnay, 10% Trebbiano. A beautifully captivating, biodynamic wine aged in concrete for 6-7 months before bottling without filtration. Notes of yellow apple, fresh, ground ginger, honeydew melon.
2023 Francois Cazin Chaverny Blanc
$56Loire Valley, France. 80% Sauvignon Blanc, 20% Chardonnay. Quenching acidity and notes of sweet, green pea + bright yellow citrus from the Sauvignon blanc, with balancing apple and minerality notes from the Chardonnay. If you’re feeling like going classic while being pleasantly surprised, look no further.
2021 Pinia Vin de France Orange
$48Corsica, France. 100% Vermentino. Vineyard is surrounded by pine trees and you can pleasantly tell on the palate. Fuller bodied orange with nice tannins, almost cider-y like. White flower bouquet on the nose, super unique and fresh.
2023 Breaking Bread "Marmalade" Orange Wine
$58Dry Creek Valley, California. 70% Muscat, 15% Chardonnay, 15% Sauvignon Blanc. This unique combo of grapes left this wine weighted while acidic, mouthwatering while being complex. 10 days on the skins. Fun notes of orange blossom (without being overbearing), tropical fruit, tangerine & apricot. Perfect amount of funk.
2023 Folk Machine Rosé of Gamay, Arroyo Seco
$54Santa Rosa, CA. 100% Gamay. A happy accident rosé that was destined to be a red wine, but tasted better this way. Taken from a single plot, picked early for freshness, and a super minimal time on the skins. Aromas of grapefruit, orange peel, white peach, and lemon zest. The palate is light with quite zippy acid and a flavor set of pink grapefruit, white peach, & wet stones.
2023 Ameztoi Ruben's Rosado Getariako Txakolina
$62Txakoli, Spain. 50% Hondarribi Belts and 50% Hondarribi Zuri. This iconic bottle, that made me fall in love with txakoli years ago, is really shining in this vintage. Super vibrant and complex, delicate and effervescent, and proudly the first pink wine of this region. Beautiful aromatics of white peach, and ripe strawberry with some savory notes and stone fruit on the palate.
2022 Cantine Monfort Pinot Grigio Ramato
$44Soft, agreeable, crushable skin contact pinot grigio with notes of dried rose, slightly crushed, bright herbs, and pink/red fruit. Extremely balanced and versatile as an aperitif or a food wine.
2022 Day Wines "Vin de Days" Rouge
$65Dundee, Oregon. 92% Pinot Noir, 8% Pinot Meunier. A dangerously drinkable bottle that was created to please a crowd. Notes of raspberry, cranberry, black cherry, lavender and hibiscus tea take over your palate with a structured, but wild, earthy backbone to balance it all out. Keeps you coming back for more. Female owned and biodynamically operated by some bad ass women.
2021 Ravines Cabernet Franc
$60Finger Lakes, NY. 100% Cabernet Franc. 100% estate, sustainable grown cab franc that is streamlined and extremely elegant with prominent notes of red currant, cranberries, and sage on the note with the addition of juicy raspberry & some mushroom on the palate. Silky and savory and a delight to drink with or without food.
2022 Division Pinot Noir ‘Un’
$70Portland, Oregon. 100% Pinot Noir. This 100% biodynamic pinot noir is ethereal, savory & significant. A deep spicy earthy undertone in the nose of the wine features ripe strawberries, cherries and dark earth tones. The palate is lithe and unique with a balance of fresh herbs, wild berry concentration and mid-palate minerality—it really delivers.
2021 Olivier Riviere Rayos UVA
$56Rioja, Spain. 40% Graciano, 40% Garnacha, 20% Tempranillo. A young, unoaked wine that showcases the approachability of wines from Rioja. It’s very primary, a little reductive, young, fresh and juicy, with notes of berries and herbs and a light and fresh palate that makes it very pleasant and easy to drink.
